Switch to using asprintf() to satisfy the compiler and resolve the
potential format-overflow warning. Not the conditional before the
sprintf() would have prevented this regardless.

Supported Kernels
- The
METAfile contains the officially recognized supported Linux kernel versions. - Supported FreeBSD versions are any supported branches and releases starting from 12.2-RELEASE.
