Commit 3160d4f56b changed the set of
conditions under which spl_mutex_spin_max would be implemented as a
function by changing an #if in sys/mutex.h. The corresponding
implementation file spl-mutex.c, however, has not been updated to
reflect the change. This results in undefined reference errors on
spl_mutex_spin_max under the following condition:
((!CONFIG_SMP || CONFIG_DEBUG_MUTEXES) && HAVE_MUTEX_OWNER && HAVE_TASK_CURR)
This patch fixes the issue by using the same #if in sys/mutex.h and
spl-mutex.c.

Issue zfsonlinux/zfs#851
The Solaris Porting Layer (SPL) is a Linux kernel module which provides many of the Solaris kernel APIs. This shim layer makes it possible to run Solaris kernel code in the Linux kernel with relatively minimal modification. This can be particularly useful when you want to track upstream Solaris development closely and don’t want the overhead of maintaining a large patch which converts Solaris primitives to Linux primitives.
To build packages for your distribution:
$ ./configure
$ make pkg
Full documentation for building, configuring, and using the SPL can be found at: http://zfsonlinux.org
