snapdir: add 'disabled' value to make .zfs inaccessible
In some environments, just making the .zfs control dir hidden from sight
might not be enough. In particular, the following scenarios might
warrant not allowing access at all:
- old snapshots with wrong permissions/ownership
- old snapshots with exploitable setuid/setgid binaries
- old snapshots with sensitive contents

Introducing a new 'disabled' value that not only hides the control dir,
but prevents access to its contents by returning ENOENT solves all of
the above.

The new property value takes advantage of 'iuv' semantics ("ignore
unknown value") to automatically fall back to the old default value when
a pool is accessed by an older version of ZFS that doesn't yet know
about 'disabled' semantics.

I think that technically the zfs_dirlook change is enough to prevent
access, but preventing lookups and dir entries in an already opened .zfs
handle might also be a good idea to prevent races when modifying the
property at runtime.

Add zfs_snapshot_no_setuid parameter to control whether automatically
mounted snapshots have the setuid mount option set or not.

this could be considered a partial fix for one of the scenarios
mentioned in desired.

d1807f168e nvpair: Constify string functions
After addressing coverity complaints involving `nvpair_name()`, the
compiler started complaining about dropping const. This lead to a rabbit
hole where not only `nvpair_name()` needed to be constified, but also
`nvpair_value_string()`, `fnvpair_value_string()` and a few other static
functions, plus variable pointers throughout the code. The result became
a fairly big change, so it has been split out into its own patch.

Add options to zfs redundant_metadata property
Currently, additional/extra copies are created for metadata in
addition to the redundancy provided by the pool(mirror/raidz/draid),
due to this 2 times more space is utilized per inode and this decreases
the total number of inodes that can be created in the filesystem. By
setting redundant_metadata to none, no additional copies of metadata
are created, hence can reduce the space consumed by the additional
metadata copies and increase the total number of inodes that can be
created in the filesystem. Additionally, this can improve file create
performance due to the reduced amount of metadata which needs
to be written.

Cleanup: Switch to strlcpy from strncpy
Coverity found a bug in `zfs_secpolicy_create_clone()` where it is
possible for us to pass an unterminated string when `zfs_get_parent()`
returns an error. Upon inspection, it is clear that using `strlcpy()`
would have avoided this issue.

Looking at the codebase, there are a number of other uses of `strncpy()`
that are unsafe and even when it is used safely, switching to
`strlcpy()` would make the code more readable. Therefore, we switch all
instances where we use `strncpy()` to use `strlcpy()`.

Unfortunately, we do not portably have access to `strlcpy()` in
tests/zfs-tests/cmd/zfs_diff-socket.c because it does not link to
libspl. Modifying the appropriate Makefile.am to try to link to it
resulted in an error from the naming choice used in the file. Trying to
disable the check on the file did not work on FreeBSD because Clang
ignores `#undef` when a definition is provided by `-Dstrncpy(...)=...`.
We workaround that by explictly including the C file from libspl into
the test. This makes things build correctly everywhere.

We add a deprecation warning to `config/Rules.am` and suppress it on the
remaining `strncpy()` usage. `strlcpy()` is not portably avaliable in
tests/zfs-tests/cmd/zfs_diff-socket.c, so we use `snprintf()` there as a
substitute.

This patch does not tackle the related problem of `strcpy()`, which is
even less safe. Thankfully, a quick inspection found that it is used far
more correctly than strncpy() was used. A quick inspection did not find
any problems with `strcpy()` usage outside of zhack, but it should be
said that I only checked around 90% of them.

Lastly, some of the fields in kstat_t varied in size by 1 depending on
whether they were in userspace or in the kernel. The origin of this
discrepancy appears to be 04a479f706 where
it was made for no apparent reason. It conflicts with the comment on
KSTAT_STRLEN, so we shrink the kernel field sizes to match the userspace
field sizes.

The biggest change is adding a size parameter to zfs_id_to_fuidstr().

c317c8c811 Allow empty ds_props_obj to be destroyed
Currently, 'zfs list' and 'zfs get' commands can be slow when
working with snapshots that have a ds_props_obj. This is
because the code that discovers all of the properties for these
snapshots needs to read this object for each snapshot, which
almost always ends up causing an extra random synchronous read
for each snapshot. This performance penalty exists even if the
properties on that snapshot have been unset because the object
is normally only freed when the snapshot is freed, even though
it is only created when it is needed.

This patch allows the user to regain 'zfs list' performance on
these snapshots by destroying the ds_props_obj when it no longer
has any entries left. In practice on a production machine, this
optimization seems to make 'zfs list' about 55% faster.

b525630342 Native Encryption for ZFS on Linux
This change incorporates three major pieces:

The first change is a keystore that manages wrapping
and encryption keys for encrypted datasets. These
commands mostly involve manipulating the new
DSL Crypto Key ZAP Objects that live in the MOS. Each
encrypted dataset has its own DSL Crypto Key that is
protected with a user's key. This level of indirection
allows users to change their keys without re-encrypting
their entire datasets. The change implements the new
subcommands "zfs load-key", "zfs unload-key" and
"zfs change-key" which allow the user to manage their
encryption keys and settings. In addition, several new
flags and properties have been added to allow dataset
creation and to make mounting and unmounting more
convenient.

The second piece of this patch provides the ability to
encrypt, decyrpt, and authenticate protected datasets.
Each object set maintains a Merkel tree of Message
Authentication Codes that protect the lower layers,
similarly to how checksums are maintained. This part
impacts the zio layer, which handles the actual
encryption and generation of MACs, as well as the ARC
and DMU, which need to be able to handle encrypted
buffers and protected data.

The last addition is the ability to do raw, encrypted
sends and receives. The idea here is to send raw
encrypted and compressed data and receive it exactly
as is on a backup system. This means that the dataset
on the receiving system is protected using the same
user key that is in use on the sending side. By doing
so, datasets can be efficiently backed up to an
untrusted system without fear of data being
compromised.

79c76d5b65 Change KM_PUSHPAGE -> KM_SLEEP
By marking DMU transaction processing contexts with PF_FSTRANS
we can revert the KM_PUSHPAGE -> KM_SLEEP changes. This brings
us back in line with upstream. In some cases this means simply
swapping the flags back. For others fnvlist_alloc() was replaced
by nvlist_alloc(..., KM_PUSHPAGE) and must be reverted back to
fnvlist_alloc() which assumes KM_SLEEP.

The one place KM_PUSHPAGE is kept is when allocating ARC buffers
which allows us to dip in to reserved memory. This is again the
same as upstream.

962d524212 Check the dataset type more rigorously when fetching properties.
When fetching property values of snapshots, a check against the head
dataset type must be performed. Previously, this additional check was
performed only when fetching "version", "normalize", "utf8only" or "case".

This caused the ZPL properties "acltype", "exec", "devices", "nbmand",
"setuid" and "xattr" to be erroneously displayed with meaningless values
for snapshots of volumes. It also did not allow for the display of
"volsize" of a snapshot of a volume.

This patch adds the headcheck flag paramater to zfs_prop_valid_for_type()
and zprop_valid_for_type() to indicate the check is being done
against a head dataset's type in order that properties valid only for
snapshots are handled correctly. This allows the the head check in
get_numeric_property() to be performed when fetching a property for
a snapshot.

Closes #1293

Porting notes:

WARNING: This patch changes the user/kernel ABI. That means that
the zfs/zpool utilities built from master are NOT compatible with
the 0.6.2 kernel modules. Ensure you load the matching kernel
modules from master after updating the utilities. Otherwise the
zfs/zpool commands will be unable to interact with your pool and
you will see errors similar to the following:

  $ zpool list
failed to read pool configuration: bad address
  no pools available

  $ zfs list
  no datasets available

Add zvol minor device creation to the new zfs_snapshot_nvl function.

Remove the logging of the "release" operation in
dsl_dataset_user_release_sync(). The logging caused a null dereference
because ds->ds_dir is zeroed in dsl_dataset_destroy_sync() and the
logging functions try to get the ds name via the dsl_dataset_name()
function. I've got no idea why this particular code would have worked
in Illumos. This code has subsequently been completely reworked in
Illumos commit 3b2aab1 (3464 zfs synctask code needs restructuring).

Squash some "may be used uninitialized" warning/erorrs.

Fix some printf format warnings for %lld and %llu.

Apply a few spa_writeable() changes that were made to Illumos in
illumos/illumos-gate.git@cd1c8b8 as part of the 3112, 3113, 3114 and
3115 fixes.

Add a missing call to fnvlist_free(nvl) in log_internal() that was added
in Illumos to fix issue 3085 but couldn't be ported to ZoL at the time
(zfsonlinux/zfs@9e11c73) because it depended on future work.

b8d06fca08 Switch KM_SLEEP to KM_PUSHPAGE
Differences between how paging is done on Solaris and Linux can cause
deadlocks if KM_SLEEP is used in any the following contexts.

  * The txg_sync thread
  * The zvol write/discard threads
  * The zpl_putpage() VFS callback

This is because KM_SLEEP will allow for direct reclaim which may result
in the VM calling back in to the filesystem or block layer to write out
pages. If a lock is held over this operation the potential exists to
deadlock the system. To ensure forward progress all memory allocations
in these contexts must us KM_PUSHPAGE which disables performing any I/O
to accomplish the memory allocation.

Previously, this behavior was acheived by setting PF_MEMALLOC on the
thread. However, that resulted in unexpected side effects such as the
exhaustion of pages in ZONE_DMA. This approach touchs more of the zfs
code, but it is more consistent with the right way to handle these cases
under Linux.

This is patch lays the ground work for being able to safely revert the
following commits which used PF_MEMALLOC:

21ade34 Disable direct reclaim for z_wr_* threads
  cfc9a5c Fix zpl_writepage() deadlock

a31a70bbd1 Fix enum compiler warning
Generally it's a good idea to use enums for switch statements,
but in this case it causes warning because the enum is really a
set of flags. These flags are OR'ed together in some cases
resulting in values which are not part of the original enum.
This causes compiler warning such as this about invalid cases.

error: case value ‘33’ not in enumerated type ‘zprop_source_t’

To handle this we simply case the enum to an int for the switch
statement. This leaves all other enum type checking in place
and effectively disabled these warnings.
