Initial implementation of zed (ZFS Event Daemon) zed monitors ZFS events. When a zevent is posted, zed will run any scripts that have been enabled for the corresponding zevent class. Multiple scripts may be invoked for a given zevent. The zevent nvpairs are passed to the scripts as environment variables. Events are processed synchronously by the single thread, and there is no maximum timeout for script execution. Consequently, a misbehaving script can delay (or forever block) the processing of subsequent zevents. Plans are to address this in future commits. Initial scripts have been developed to log events to syslog and send email in response to checksum/data/io errors and resilver.finish/scrub.finish events. By default, email will only be sent if the ZED_EMAIL variable is configured in zed.rc (which is serving as a config file of sorts until a proper configuration file is implemented). Clean up lib dependencies libzutil is currently statically linked into libzfs, libzfs_core and libzpool. Avoid the unnecessary duplication by removing it from libzfs and libzpool, and adding libzfs_core to libzpool. Remove a few unnecessary dependencies: - libuutil from libzfs_core - libtirpc from libspl - keep only libcrypto in libzfs, as we don't use any functions from libssl - librt is only used for clock_gettime, however on modern systems that's in libc rather than librt. Add a configure check to see if we actually need librt - libdl from raidz_test Add a few missing dependencies: - zlib to libefi and libzfs - libuuid to zpool, and libuuid and libudev to zed - libnvpair uses assertions, so add assert.c to provide aok and libspl_assertf Sort the LDADD for programs so that libraries that satisfy dependencies come at the end rather than the beginning of the linker command line. Revamp the configure tests for libaries to use FIND_SYSTEM_LIBRARY instead. This can take advantage of pkg-config, and it also avoids polluting LIBS. List all the required dependencies in the pkgconfig files, and move the one for libzfs_core into the latter's directory. Install pkgconfig files in $(libdir)/pkgconfig on linux and $(prefix)/libdata/pkgconfig on FreeBSD, instead of /usr/share/pkgconfig, as the more correct location for library .pc files. Disk event monitoring is provided from libudev and generates the expected payload schema for zfs_mod. This work leverages the recently added devid and phys_path strings in the vdev label. libspl: implement atomics in terms of atomics This replaces the generic libspl atomic.c atomics implementation with one based on builtin gcc atomics. This functionality was added as an experimental feature in gcc 4.4. Today even CentOS 7 ships with gcc 4.8 as the default compiler we can make this the default. Furthermore, the builtin atomics are as good or better than our hand-rolled implementation so it's reasonable to drop that custom code. Add libtpool (thread pools) OpenZFS provides a library called tpool which implements thread pools for user space applications. Porting this library means the zpool utility no longer needs to borrow the kernel mutex and taskq interfaces from libzpool. This code was updated to use the tpool library which behaves in a very similar fashion. Porting libtpool was relatively straight forward and minimal modifications were needed. The core changes were: * Fully convert the library to use pthreads. * Updated signal handling. * lmalloc/lfree converted to calloc/free * Implemented portable pthread_attr_clone() function. Finally, update the build system such that libzpool.so is no longer linked in to zfs(8), zpool(8), etc. All that is required is libzfs to which the zcommon soures were added (which is the way it always should have been). Replace EXTRA_DIST with dist_noinst_DATA The EXTRA_DIST variable is ignored when used in the FALSE conditional of a Makefile.am. This results in the `make dist` target omitting these files from the generated tarball unless CONFIG_USER is defined. This issue can be avoided by switching to use the dist_noinst_DATA variable which is handled as expected by autoconf. This change also adds support for --with-config=dist as an alias for --with-config=srpm and updates the GitHub workflows to use it.
